Outline
Theory & practical course providing the candidate with underpinning knowledge and skills to safely perform moving and positioning of individuals and handling objects/loads in a care setting.
Description
Safe Moving & Positioning is key to ensuring high standards of care, and safety for residents and staff alike. It is also essential that in the event of a claim against you as a Care provider, you can prove you have trained your staff adequately.
Care-FULLY TRAINED’s Moving & Positioning course covers both the theoretical and assessed practical aspects, and will ensure that your staff are complying with current relevant standards, legislation and techniques. They will also have practised using common assistive equipment in the correct manner.
This course will meet the requirements for both initial training of staff new to care, as well as refresher training for existing experienced staff. We also deliver a specific shortened half day annual refresher course.
If you have additional or unusual specific requirements we are able to tailor our course contents to your organisations’ needs, focussing on your particular client group or care setting.
